M-Festivals Website ( MY LATEST PROJECTS )

The famous swiss branch Migros is the official sponsor of 6 different Summer music festivals.
We’ve developed a website which offers information about all the events and concerts, and added engaging games and personalized e-cards. It was organized in 3 groups:
a) Calendar listing – containing festival information, concerts’ timetables, etc.
b) Online games – the 15 top scores would receive a prize.
c) Social network game – select your favorite festival and build a virtual tent, then invite 3 friends to join in. By uploading a photo of yourself and then gather votes for your tent, (by posting it onto your Facebook wall and/or sending the e-card via e-mail). The most rated tent would get free passes for the festival of choice, as well as a real tent to take, big enough to fit 4 people, with food, drinks and special kits.

The 4 Gleis7 Projects ( MY LATEST PROJECTS )

In 2007, the swiss railway entity SBB order a youth web-portal designated as ‘Gleis 7′ [www.gleis7.ch]. It showcased several activities such as online shopping, social media, trading boards, casino inspired games, a ticket lottery and surveys.
Here’s a short description of some of the components of this platform:

1) 1991 & 1992: by turning 16 years old, you are able to become SBB’s client. For this matter, to inform you about this possibility, as well as the advantages of becoming a card holder, every year a fresh new image for the website is created. I was involved in the ’1991′ and ’1992′ edition, in which plenty of video interaction was available to engage the visitors in a fun experience;

2) Credit shop: a system of credits was created, with which you are able to trade your credits for cool products. For instance, playing in the casino, participating in the online quizzes, inviting friends, etc.

3) Online pinboard: in the survey, many users claimed that they would like to post their own ads and posts. For example, meet people to travel with, find out dates for festivals, to exchange tickets…

4) Online surveys: the primary tool developed for the Customer Relation Management. Initially denominated as ‘Powertool’, because it was very powerful and perfect graphical solution to get feedback about and for the portal. Surveys were made short to take a maximum 1 minute long to fill out and each time you would take part, you’d get 100 credits. About 70% of registered users are giving weekly feedback.

This portal evolves by surveying its active users’ quotes, this enables to expand the content of the platform. This method proved to be quite efficient and number of users didn’t stop growing. It is still one of the most active platforms from SBB.

The project received a Silver Medal in the category ‘Spezialkategorien’, in the 2008 edit of ‘Best of Swiss Web’.

Cestag Multimedia Projects ( MY LATEST PROJECTS )

Back in 2003, while in CESTAG, my team and I developed a couple of multimedia projects with a very creative flare: ‘Pedro&Joana’ and ‘Saga das Cidades destruídas’. The first one was an interactive CD-ROM, which contained a 2-hour length animation for children under 8. It was Christmas story, written by a portuguese novelist and we’ve added games and music. An original soundtrack was composed and arranged by a talented portuguese musician. Merchandise such as T-shirts with the main characters, a music videoclip, birthday e-cards were also available. The other project was an online 3D role-play game, the storyline was about a hidden portal within a famous Lisbon statue. Once you’d cross this portal, a new universe would appear and there you’d get an option to move up or down, to fight or chat. By choosing, you’d influence the narrative of the game and every second week, a new chapter would be introduced to give continuity to the underground world. About 50 personas, monsters, magicians, animals and fairies were created for this game, that summed up 6 chapters, in a 3-month duration. A CD-ROM version was also available for people with slow or no Internet connection, divided in 6 CDs.
